Conference and Events

The AUPO Conference will take place on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th September 2010 at the 4-star Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel.

The main theme of this event will be the Development of the Profession in the Sector. Sessions will be presented by influential speakers who will deliver a UK perspective on the changing context and challenges for us as both a professional community and as individuals.

14:00 UUK Strategic Procurement Group workshop - Geoff Hope-Terry (2 syndicate rooms - The Victoria and the JLB 1)

Following on from the UUK SPG workshop on collaborative procurement in April, there will be a workshop to consider the role of procurement within HEIs to identify models of good practice and the associated professional competencies. The session will be co-ordinated by the Chair of the SPG, Geoff Hope-Terry.

COSTS:

Institutional Members = £ 195 per delegate

Non-Institutional Members = £ 295 per delegate

The conference fee includes overnight accommodation (B&B) and conference dinner (formal wear) on Thursday as well as refreshments and lunches on both days.
