Workstreams
AUPO has a number of workstreams:
- Procurement Tools & Systems - provides the voice of the procurement practitioner with access to procurement tools and systems and the opportunity to contribute to the development of new and existing tools and systems, linking those tools and services to best practice.
- Professional Development - provides the voice of the procurement practitioner with information on, and access to professional development opportunities, such as AUPO conference and events. In addition, opportunities are provided for practitioners to review and contribute to conference programmes and events, and publicise and promote professional development that is available and the work that the sector is undertaking is available with other agencies, particularly CIPS.
- Standards & Good Practice - Provides the procurement practitioner with information on good procurement practice and professional standards, including guidance and toolkits on a wide range of procurement topics. Opportunities are also provided for practitioners to contribute to the development of good practice and professional standard, and to provide case studies where good practice and enhanced standards have actually been implemented.
- Sustainable Procurement - includes all aspects of sustainability and corporate responsibility as they relate to procurement. AUPO's role is to assist people involved in procurement to understand the key aspects of sustainable procurement as it impacts on universities and colleges. It also provides support through the use of toolkits, guidance materials and the content of web links, working with the Sustainable Procurement Centre of Excellence to continually improve and develop best practice.
